Company is the global leader in Service Performance Management
Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheàl Martin TD today (Thursday 21st February) announced that ServiceSource, the global leader in Service Performance Management, is to expand its new EMEA Headquarters in Dublin. The expansion will create more than 100 additional high quality multi-lingual professional sales positions.
ServiceSource was established in San Francisco in 1999. The company is a specialised sales organisation focused on increasing service share and revenue for high-tech and healthcare client companies in over 100 countries and across 26 languages. Customers include Microsoft, Adobe, Sun Microsystems, Symantec, AT&T and GE Healthcare. In 2005, with the support of IDA Ireland, ServiceSource established its EMEA operations in Dublin to support a growing North America and European client base. To keep pace with the rapid growth in service share its clients have experienced, ServiceSource has opened a new EMEA Headquarters in Cherrywood Science & Technology Park, Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin. The company currently employs a workforce of 180 at its new offices and will increase its multi-lingual sales staff to over 300 by the end of 2008. All the new positions require a university degree in business, marketing or a related discipline and fluency in one or more of 26 languages.
Minister Martin, making the announcement, said "I'm delighted to make this announcement today for ServiceSource. It is a superb company which has rapidly grown since its inception in Dublin just three years ago. It is a real vote of confidence in Ireland and in Dublin that a highly innovative and vibrant company like ServiceSource chose to expand its operations here. The positions created by this investment, along with those already in place, are all high skilled and well paid and require a young, enthusiastic and skilled workforce which Ireland has to offer."
Crosbie Burns, Executive Vice President for Worldwide Field Operations and ServiceSource spokesperson said, "The rate at which our EMEA headquarters in Dublin has expanded is indicative of the potential in the marketplace and our success in helping clients to increase their service share and the revenue generated from services and maintenance renewals. According to Gartner, the IT services market is worth $45 billion in EMEA alone and that market value is expected to grow further. Service, support and maintenance renewals now account for up to 40% of tech sector revenues, but this revenue is often overlooked as a vital revenue stream, resulting in significant under performance by many technology companies. We believe that growing service share is strategic to our clients' business success as they look to more ways to increase revenues and earnings in a maturing technology market. At ServiceSource, we focus exclusively on retaining and growing that services revenue stream on their behalf."
ServiceSource founded and leads the service performance management industry. We focus exclusively on growing service share - producing the maximum service revenue by increasing the number of customers who buy services and increasing the amount they spend on those services - for leading high-tech companies such as Adobe, AT&T, GE Healthcare, Microsoft, Motorola, and Sun Microsystems. ServiceSource has four global service centres that serve technology customers in over 100 countries and 26 languages. ServiceSource has delivered more than $3 billion in services revenue to its technology clients and manages more than 300,000 customer relationships annually. Our complete service performance management solution helps high-tech leaders deliver outstanding financial results to their organisations and shareholders.
