1 September, 2009, San Francisco, CA — ServiceSource, a San Francisco-based Service Performance Management leader for the high-tech industry, today announced the appointment of Tony Zingale to its Board of Directors. Zingale, who most recently served as President and CEO of Mercury Interactive, joins the Board as ServiceSource surpasses $4 billion of services revenue under management and continues to expand its list of blue-chip technology, healthcare IT and life sciences clients.

“Tony brings nearly 30 years of experience building profitable, high growth information technology companies to the ServiceSource Board,” said Mike Smerklo, Chairman and CEO of ServiceSource. “As top performing companies and the investment community are recognizing the importance of maintenance and support services as a strategic revenue driver, Tony’s expertise will be a tremendous asset to broaden the ServiceSource solution to drive improved financial results for our clients.”

“ServiceSource is uniquely positioned to be an industry-changing company and I am excited to make an impact on the next stage of its growth,” said Zingale. “Its growing roster of clients is a ‘who’s who’ of successful, forward-thinking businesses – Adobe, AT&T, GE Healthcare, McKesson, Motorola, and NetApp, to name a few – all of whom have turned to ServiceSource to grow their services revenue.” While serving as President and CEO of Mercury Interactive, the worldwide leader of Business Technology Optimization (BTO) solutions, Zingale successfully grew Mercury to over $1 billion in annual sales and then engineered the $5 billion merger with Hewlett Packard that was completed at the end of 2006.

Previously, Zingale spent more than 10 years at Cadence Design Systems, the world's leading supplier of electronic design automation (EDA) products and services, in a succession of executive management positions leading to his role as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. He served on the executive team that grew Cadence from approximately $40 million in revenue to more than $1.2 billion while also completing more that 15 mergers and acquisitions. Zingale began his career in product marketing at Intel Corporation in 1980.

Zingale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of the University of Cincinnati Foundation's Board of Trustees. Mr. Zingale is married, has three children and resides in Cupertino, California.
