Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement

The United Kingdom (UK) Modern Slavery Act 2015 recognises that modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. Modern slavery takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person's liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain. The UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires commercial organisations supplying goods or services in the UK with a turnover of above £36 million to prepare and publish an annual statement to set out the steps taken, if any, during its financial year to ensure that slavery or human trafficking is not taking place in its business and supply chain. This statement is published on behalf of ServiceSource for the financial year ended 31st December 2016 pursuant to the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, Chapter 30, Part 6, Provision 54.

Our Anti-Slavery and Anti-Human Trafficking Policy

ServiceSource has a zero-tolerance approach with respect to any violations of anti-slavery and anti-human trafficking laws in our business and our supply chain. We are committed to acting ethically, with integrity and transparency in all business dealings, and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place within our business or our supply chain.

If we find actual or potential breaches of anti-slavery and anti-human trafficking laws within our supply chain, we will support those companies’ efforts to comply with the legislation.  In the absence of sufficient efforts to comply with these laws, ServiceSource will consider alternative measures including changing supplier. We will conduct due diligence on new suppliers and not conduct business with organisations known to be involved in slavery, human trafficking, forced labour or child labour.

We seek to treat all staff fairly and consistently, creating a workplace and business environment that is open, transparent and trusted. Our policies and procedures relating to the UK Modern Slavery Act are in line with our culture and values.

Our Related Policies

We operate a number of related internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:

  1. Recruitment policy. We operate a robust recruitment policy, including conducting checks of eligibility to work in the UK for all employees to safeguard against human trafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will.
  2. Whistleblowing policy. We operate a whistleblowing policy so that all employees know that they can raise concerns about how colleagues are being treated, or concerns about practices within our business or supply chain, without fear of reprisals.
  3. Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. This code explains the manner in which we behave as an organisation and how we expect our employees and suppliers to act, and requires compliance with all applicable laws.
